Fanny's Big Career

Fanny is currently in her last semester at Big Sal's House 'O Meat and Dog College where she is majoring in Bacon Sniffing. So like many of those who are about to graduate, she is currently looking around at the job market.

She briefly flirted with the idea of being a White House reporter like that other Bulldog, but after some consideration, she has decided to give it a pass. Turns out there isn't enough food involved to suit her tastes.

So then she started researching the Aid Dog job situation and she got quite excited. Turns out Service Canines are taught how to use the telephone, and Fanny feels this could be very useful in everyday life. Phoning up for a pizza, for example, or a taxi to take her to the grocery store where small children could be tricked into buying her wieners. I told her that aid dogs actually work very hard, training starts when they are puppies, and their snack intake is limited.

Then there is the exciting new position of CamDogs. Unfortunately, I had to break it to her that so far only the British are outfitting their police dogs with cameras. And I feel pretty confident that trained police dogs are trained NOT to eat every morsel of food-like substance that comes across their path.

It's looking more and more like Fanny's dream career might just be the coveted position of Laura Jane's Pet. Fanny says she will keep that in mind, but she is still looking.
